281 W Marine Dr, Astoria, OR 97103-6203, Astoria
I have been there as late as 10 and been served. Definitely give them a call
I'm the new owner. We'll be closed from November 1st-November 15th for some renovations and then back to the same great bar with great food.
Anyone can get in.
Yes they serve breakfast I'm sure they can add a hollandaise or something special to it. Their very accommodating @Elise wash it's one of my favorite places to have food and a drink either in the am or at night. Their cooks are top notch and so are the bartenders they have a nice fire inside and a beer garden out back at night they start up the fire pit it's great
Ya what Lonnie said
Yes, pretty much the same sides
Received a dirty cup, unfortunately only noticed it 3/4 of the way through my “Another f’ing rapsberry Heff”, bartender promptly got me a new beer with zero fuss and apologized...A LOT of flies unfortunately which was disheartening. However, overall, decent place, food smells amazing, people are friendly, pretty views of the bridge!
Good burgers and fries Drinks were great Bartender was a great guy Great to talk to Quick on making food and drinks too.Was my first time had a good time
Love this place! Sunday nights are amazing.
Great old bar with fun atmosphere. Backyard patio is awesome.
Was in Astoria for the weekend for a wedding and needed a drink. The Workers tavern has friendly staff, and the bartender was great! Good environment, and outdoor seating is a major plus! Next time I'm in Astoria, I'm headed here!
The bartender (and cook) was awesome, and the food was amazing. Try the chicken fried steak! Really relaxed joint, good prices.
New owner has updated the menu and kept the feel of one of the oldest bars in Astoria. Great outdoor area literally under the bridge. New seafood bucket is a feast for kings with clams, shrimp, oysters, corn on the cob, finger potatoes and lots of garlic butter. And it’s all local! Excellent ribeye, prime rib and the drinks... well the signature drink the “yucca”, you get to participate in its construction. Great bartenders and staff, cool location under the bridge and an outdoor area with a fire area and lots of nice people.
Good friends good people good drink
I will never go back to this place again. The owner was very disrepectful, without cause. I do not recommend this place.
Good old joint in Astoria.
Come for bingo on Sunday night!!! You can win bacon!!! Ignore the BS that this place is only for locals. Cool regulars who welcome whoever walks in the door. Drinks are also spot on... Workers Tavern, be there!
The food here is so delicious & the atmosphere is perfect. With me visiting from florida I think it's a good spot to stop in for a drinkm
Not a bad place to get drinks, good music and nice staff. They haven't figured out food yet though.
My favorite dive bar with great staff and drinks.
Starving late night. Found this place to serve a decent burger. The bartender was also the waiter and chef and everything else. He gets it done...
Awesome new owner! Kick ass Mama/writer. She has done a ton to clean up the bar, but keep the gritty feel and welcoming vibe. Great bar food and tap list. Plus beautiful new neon sign! Anchors away...
Love the Bartender. Great atmosphere and bloody Marys!
Fun night for Story slam. Loved the simple yet excellent menu, Spam as a choice is always a plus and when cooked right, easy to forget what it is. The potato salad was, no joke, exactly like my mums, you can actually taste the salad part of the potato mixture and it was divine. Blond Lady Owner is a very nice person and has a good thing going on with this place. Definitely worth stopping by on your way through.
Was here tonight. Paid up front and asked what we wanted to tip. Well I tip based on service, but ok I will tip 20% However the service and food were not great. Ordered steamers waited 30 plus minutes and then they came - cold / gross. Not once were we checked back on so we left. Hell, our bill and tip were already processed. Will never go back
A very comfortable establishment. Very nice people here. Good food and drinks. This is a MUST STOP AT when in Astoria.
Friendly atmosphere, great drinks
My friends and I just drove through Astoria on a road trip and stopped at workers for a quick beer. The bartender suggested fantastic local beers, and Diana the owner spent some time with us suggesting sights to see and places to visit. Fantastic establishment! Definitely visit!
Great food. Awesome building, its got an antique type of atmosphere. The food is good - really good. I got the workers breakfast; 2 eggs over easy, wheat toast, hashbrowns (cooked perfectly), sausage (yummmmm) and a couple mimosas. Loved the atmosphere, the food and the back patio - fire pit, lots of seating. Definitely recommend. Breakfast all day!!!
Fun, friendly, great service.
Had a blast there! The patio outside with the fire pit was awesome.
I really appreciate what the new owner and her husband have done to restore and fix up this bar. They have put a lot of time and heart into to make sure it is welcoming to the workers of the town. My husband and I have tried out their breakfast, which was a generous size, their lunch, the Ruben with homemade potato salad was tasty, and we’ve also gone to the long standing Meat Bingo. Such fun on a Sunday night! The bartenders have always greeted us with smiles and prompt service. I can enjoy a cider while my husband has a beer or a cocktail. There is something for everyone in the 21 and over crowd, even if you don’t drink alcohol. I recommend checking it out!
Fantastic bartender, Danielle!! Made us feel more than welcome, because of her we have to figure out a way to come back!!! I would have loved to hang and get trashed with the locals!!!
Great food and drinks!
Stayed in one of their Air B&B's attached to the tavern. Good host, nice backyard area. Loud but fun!
Awesome chill old school place. Great bar service. Fantastic outdoors area where you can drink and enjoy a camp fire. Really a great place.
Best well drinks in town. Damn good dive bar food. Sassy and intelligent staff.
Outstanding drinks. The prime rib(25$ Fri & Sat) is worth committing murder then escaping from jail for. Breakfast is also amazing, total dive bar but soooo good. Don't dress up, it wont matter. Come hungry and thirsty.
Nice place, good bar food, friendly staff. Seems popular with the locals.
Very rude employee and worst breakfast I’ve ever had. I went out of my way to be nice to the woman, and she acted like she had a chip on her shoulder.
Great dive bar with solid eats.
Dudes! The breakfast here is absolutely awesome plus a good atmosphere, the Staff are really laid back too which is always good! 😎💯
Food and drinks were on point. Perfect if you are looking for the locals dive bar situation.
Had a Yucca - very yummy!
Love the atmosphere and the food...and the bartender is fantastic
Great dive bar! Try the Yucca!
It's the people... And the owner did an amazing restoration job and I respect her for that.
Stayed in the attached airbnb for a week in August, it was gorgeous and so much fun. The staff in the tavern were super helpful and nice. The slot machines were a bit of a mystery to me, seems like that space could be devoted to something more interesting, but anyway cool space. Side note; it’s a super nice building and space; but the bar itself seemed to be trying against all odds to be a dive bar inside a beautiful shell. Kind of funny if you ask me.
Found this place simply by chance. Was staying across the street at Motel 6. Went in for breakfast (breakfast served all day), was informed about the steak dinner. Not on the menu, you have to ask! Just our luck! There was 3 of us; only 2 Ribeyes in the “reefer”, server suggested the “family style” dinner. Whoa!!! Punched it clear across the bridge to Washington!!! Best kept “Hole in the Wall” secret in town. The ambiance or the interior adds character as well; if you close your eyes you’d could almost hear the ships across the street creaking back in the day!!!
The burger was ok, not great. The fries were tolerable, again not great. The Old Fashioned was also ok, but not great. But then the bartender/cook went out back to smoke and left the back door open with two others (one who was apparently the bartender's superior), probably to keep an eye on the bar, and the place quickly filled up with cigarette smoke. I find that to be completely inconsiderate, a violation of state law, and absolutely unforgivable. I left, and will not be back.
Friendly staff nice selection of local and national Brew.
Friendly staff, divey atmosphere, local crowd.
Yup, it’s a worker’s bar but the people are friendly, the food is delicious, they have a great beer selection and the back deck is amazing. A very unique Astoria experience (under the bridge), cool furniture and fire pit. Easy to distance and socialize. Fantastic place on a warm day!
Good dive bar. Fast and tasty food, very cute beer garden and good advice on beers.
What a cool little breakfast stop.
This place is Awesome, decor, history and menu.
